Tips on Making Limeade

  1. When making this fresh limeade recipe, it’s best to use freshly squeezed limes rather than store-bought lime juice. Use fresh, ripe, and good quality limes will provide the best flavor and make for the most refreshing and tasty beverage!
  2. To get the most juice out of your limes, roll the limes on a hard surface before cutting into them. This helps to break down the interior of the lime and release its juices so you can get every last drop.
  3. When using granulated sugar, making a simple syrup is necessary (or at least white granulated sugar dissolved in hot water) so that the sugar fully incorporates into the drink. Otherwise, all of the sugar crystals will end up at the bottom of the pitcher.
  4. Don’t forget to chill your limeade before serving! This enhances the refreshing qualities of the drink.
  5. Lastly, don’t be afraid to experiment when making this limeade recipe. Adjust the sweetness of the drink to your preferences until you find your perfect blend. Add berries or herbs like mint as flavor enhancers. Use coconut water instead of regular water for a tropical twist. Add sparkling water to create a fizzy limeade. Not into granulated white sugar? Try some sugar alternatives like agave or date sugar. The possibilities are endless. We’d love to hear how these turn out, let us know in the comments below!

Health Notes
